Sunglasses for Outdoor Running

When getting dressed to go for a run outside, runners usually check the weather to make sure they are dressed appropriately. However, something they might not think of right away are running sunglasses. Most runners don’t realize that the bright sun can be damaging to their eyes while on their run.

There are a few things you should be aware of when picking a pair of sunglasses for running. When shopping for a pair of sunglasses a runner will want to consider the shape of sunglasses and fit. Having a pair of sunglasses that fit your face well will make a huge difference in the eye protection you are getting. A pair of sunglasses should have a snug fit on your face to make sure they are blocking all the sun from getting to your eyes. When you are running you will also want a pair of sunglasses that fit well so they aren’t bouncing around or failing off while you are moving.

Another aspect that you should consider in a pair of running sunglasses are the lenses. You will want your sunglasses lenses to have UVA protection and be polarized in order to shield light away from your eyes. Our Coyote sunglasses are polarized and have UVA protection in the lenses.
